A BIT OF HISTORY

Boston's rich spy history dates back to the colonial era, playing a pivotal role in America's fight for independence. The Massachusetts Spy, a publication founded in 1770, was instrumental in spreading revolutionary ideas and rallying support against British rule. Paul Revere, celebrated for his midnight ride, also served as America's first spymaster. Leading a network of informants known as the Mechanics, Revere gathered and disseminated crucial intelligence, significantly contributing to the Patriots' efforts. Spy Bar celebrates this legacy of intrigue, offering a space where music, conversation, and atmosphere come together with a sense of mystery and inspiration.
